So much is going on right now! My upcoming sequel to Sitnalta, The Kingdom Thief is in the midst of copy edits, and its release is imminent! I got my copy edits back for The Dybbuk's Revenge and it's now going into proofreading. I have seen a rough cover for The Kingdom Thief, and if I could marry a cover, it would be this one. I am in love with the art for this book! Alas, I can't post it here... yet.
In the editing world on my end, I have a second draft done on the fourth Sitnalta book, however, I am not happy with the title. Some books are born with the title firm and set in my mind. This one, I had the story, the characters, and the arc set. The title, I feel it still sucks. Part of my problem, is that I had a title I was happy with, but then I googled it, and there's a video game, and a half dozen other things that had the same name. It had to change. I just don't know what to change it to! Oy.
So, in other news, I had a wonderful Father's Day. As a surprise, I had some professional pictures done of the kids for their dad and their zaidies. It was a hit, and the kids loved having their pictures taken by the lovely Nechama Laitman. Here's a few of my faves:
We also had some fun raising caterpillars and watching them turn into butterflies. The kids named them Raph, Leonardo, Minnie, Drogon, and Rehka. Unfortunately, Rehka passed away in the cocoon stage. But we got to release four beautiful painted lady butterflies into the wild. For the kids, it was an amazing learning experience, and they are dying to do it again!
As for the rest of the summer, I have The Pirate Festival coming up, the release of The Kingdom Thief, and a possible trip to Charlottetown! Speaking of Charlottetown, read the story I had published in the last edition of The Siren's Call ezine. (Hopefully my trip there ends on a happier note...) http://www.sirenscallpublications.com/pdfs/SirensCallEZine_June2015.pdf Just follow the link and check it out!
