On Zayna's island, no one heeds her father's warnings that a horrible fate is about to befall them, and the island is decimated by a tidal wave. Zayna and a few survivors are left to pick up the pieces, and the task of rebuilding falls to them. Can Zayna find the strength to go against the insular leaders and seek help elsewhere? The discovery of a small blue-haired baby in the island's wreckage may either be a harbinger of danger to come, or a blessing in disguise, as Zayna reaches out to the only people she can think of to help.
