There Is No Maybe: a Play About Consent

Picture
There Is No Maybe is a one act play written by Alisse Lee Goldenberg, Kristen Da Silva, and Katie Edwards. This play examines the issues surrounding consent on campus between university students. If it's not clear, and it's not enthusiastic, it is not consent. This play was commissioned by York University for their frosh week orientation, and was shown to thousands of students on September 7, 2016. This play is a part of an initiative to combat rape culture, and to teach students what their options are when confronted with issues surrounding sexual assault. There is No Maybe is now an integral part of York University's Frosh Week, being performed for each year's incoming cohort of new students.
