So, it's been a crazy month. The Dybbuk's Mirror is finally out and available for purchase. So far, the response to the book has been very good, and I am thrilled about how it turned out. Night Life has also come out, and you can get it as an ebook on Amazon. I have some other news that I am extremely excited about. An and I have been asked to participate in L.I.F.T. The City ARTFEST. This is an event taking place on October 26 from 10-4 at the Maja Prentice Theatre in Mississauga. The proceeds from this event go to an organization called Women's Money. This organization is a financial health club for women, and the event's theme is "Girl Power". We will be there with some other fantastic authors, comic book artists, cosplayers, musicians, singers, and artists. It looks to be a lot of fun, and it's for a good cause! If you can get to Mississauga that day, be sure to check it out! More information can be found on the event at LIFTTheCity.com and you can read about Women's Money at womensmoney.ca
Our next even looks to be SFContario5 from November 14-16 at the Ramada in Downtown Toronto. (Hopefully by then we will be in a Ford free city. Thus ends the politics section of this blog. :p) There, An and I will be participating in panels, and just having a grand old time. I love doing these cons. The people there are amazingly fun, and we get to meet so many great people. The past few weeks have also seen a plethora of holidays. My family and I just celebrated Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur. The kids are finally old enough to understand why we celebrate and do what we do. We are about to go into the holiday of Sukkot. (One year I will have my way and we will build our own sukkah in the backyard.) Even though we don't have our own, I took the kids to our synagogue, and they participated in the decoration of theirs. One thing I keep forgetting: Handing a trio of three year old children a jar of glitter is a recipe for disaster. I am still finding it in my hair! Now that the holidays are over, I will definitely be updating here more often. I promise!
